Woman Uses Facebook to Harass Stranger About Affair

"Everyone is going to be so proud of you when they find out what a slut you really are," the woman wrote in one message.

A 52-year-old woman from Grantsburg, Wis. has been charged with two misdemeanors after she allegedly harassed a woman from Eden Prairie on Facebook about her relationship with a married man.

The woman from Eden Prairie told police she had recently been involved with a man that she had later found out was married.

She received two messages on Facebook, one in December and one in February, from two woman she didn't know. The first reads: "Everyone at (location) is going to be so proud of you when they find out what a slut you really are."

The second reads: "This is appalling you should be so ashamed of yourself (the man involved) too for that matter. I bet your daughter will be so proud of you after she sees this."

Attached to the message was a letter the Eden Prairie woman had written to the married man's wife. The letter had also been sent to the woman's 15-year-old daughter's Facebook account.

The Facebook identities were found to be fake and traced back to the same woman. She also sent the same letter to the woman's employer, according to police.

She allegedly told police that she knows the man involved because he is married to her friend's daughter. The woman from Grantsburg doesn't know the woman from Eden Prairie, but she told police someone showed her the letter and she found it outrageous. Charges include repeatedly using mail to harass and disorderly conduct.
