Southbound Flying Cloud Drive Reopens After Plane Crash

Two pilots on the corporate jet at the time were not injured.

A corporate jet overshot the runway Monday at Flying Cloud Airport and ended up stalled in the road. 

The crash was reported at 8:50 a.m. Monday, Aug. 5. No injuries or fuel leaks were reported.

The southbound lanes of Flying Cloud Drive were closed at Pioneer Trail for about 6 hours due to the aircraft on the roadway, according to the city of Eden Prairie. All lanes of Flying Cloud Drive were reopened to traffic at 2:45 p.m. Monday.

The Phenom 300 aircraft was landing at the airport, traveled off the end of the runway and came to rest on Flying Cloud Drive, according to the city. At the time of the landing, two pilots were on board. 

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) will conduct a complete investigation.
