The Minnesota Department of Public Safety’s Office of Traffic Safety named Officer Todd Groves to its sixth DWI Enforcer All-Star squad.
Groves, who made 89 drunken driving arrests in 2012, was honored for his “outstanding service in enforcement and in prosecution of drunk driving,” according to a news release. He and the other 33 people on the squad will be honored June 27 at the Minnesota Twins’ pre-game festivities at Target Field.

“Although we take time each year to recognize the top DWI officers and prosecutors for their service, we must not forget the hundreds of other enforcers statewide who are committed to arresting drunk drivers to ensure motorists make it home safely,” the release quoted Donna Berger, director of the DPS Office of Traffic Safety.
In 2012, 28,418 motorists were arrested for drunken driving.
