The district has hired Mary Waters-Cryer as interim director of student related services, through June 30, 2014. She replaces Tina Houck, who resigned in June.
Waters-Cryer holds a bachelor’s degree in k-12 special education from St. Cloud State, and a master’s in developmental disabilities and a specialist degree in education administration from St. Mary’s University.
Waters-Cryer has been the lead special education teacher at Eagle Heights Spanish Immersion elementary school since 2008. Prior to that, she was director at Fraser School for more than six years. She has also been assistant principal at Bloomington intermediate and middle schools, and dean of students at a middle school in the Anoka-Hennepin district.

In her new position with Eden Prairie Schools, Waters-Cryer will provide direction and supervision for health and educational services staff throughout the district. She will begin her new position Aug. 8.
