Grab a Glass of Wine, Chase it With a Beer at Rotary's Annual Fundraiser

Tickets are now on sale for Eden Prairie Rotary's annual wine and beer tasting.

The annual "Vino Classico with a Beer Chaser" is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Oct. 12 at Eden Prairie Community Center, 16700 Valley View Road.

By attending, you will help the Rotary Club fund its many community and international programs, including STRIVE student mentoring at Eden Prairie High School; service projects in Peru, Africa, India and Honduras; the well-known Golden Eagle Award; and an annual recognition banquet for EPHS behind-the-scenes achievers called Above & Beyond Awards.

Vino Classico, which annually draws nearly 400 persons, will feature more than 100 varieties of wine and at least a dozen types of beer. You will be able to order specially priced bottles of the beverages through Eden Prairie Liquor. In addition, at Vino Classico you can enjoy food samples from local restaurants and stores, including Biaggi’s, Wildfire, Tavern at 4 & 5, Sawatdee, Qdoba, and Costco.

The event also features a silent auction, with dozens of items donated by area businesses – including event tickets and sports memorabilia – and a “Wall of Wine” raffle.

Sponsors include Flagship Bank, Edina Realty/Cheryl Eastbourne, Metro Sales Inc., Scheels, Walmart, M & A Executive Search, Prairie Electric, and Eden Prairie News.
