Friday: Nick Leddy Brings Stanley Cup Home to Eden Prairie

The stop in Eden Prairie will be the best chance during Leddy's 24-hour tour in Minnesota for fans to get close to the prized trophy.

Nick Leddy and the Stanley Cup are making a stop in Eden Prairie, which will be the best chance during his 24-hour tour in Minnesota for fans get close to the prized trophy.

Eden Prairie native Leddy, a member of the 2013 NHL champion Chicago Blackhawks, played in all 48 regular season games last season. The 22-year-old former Eden Prairie High School and U of M star signed a two-year extension with Chicago just last week—a deal reportedly worth about $5 million.

As is tradition with the 120-year-old Stanley Cup, each player from the winning team gets to spend a day with the cup. Leddy's tour began Thursday with visits to Maynard's on Lake Minnetonka, as well as Bits Pub and Seven Sushi Ultra Lounge and Skybar in downtown Minneapolis.
