Writers Rising Up 501 C-3, Neighbor

Consider becoming a Writers Rising Up sponsor this year. Your sponsorship will help us with educational programs at the Elizabeth Fries Ellet Interpretive Trail at the Richard T. Anderson Conservation Area in Eden Prairie, recognition and prize money for writers, annual poetry calendar and contributor honorariums.

We provide both new and experienced writers with three submission opportunities, each with a $150.00 prize for the Paul Gruchow Essay, the Carol Bly Short Story and the Bill Holm Poetry Contest.

Our annual Digging to the Roots poetry calendar provides writers with an opportunity to have their poetry appear in a printed and online downloadable calendar.

Our Wilderness in the City: Writing and Walking Tours are educational excursions led by local trail experts and plant specialists and writers at the trail we created for Eden Prairie, the Elizabeth Fries Ellet Interpretive Trail at the Richard T. Anderson Conservation Area (RTA), allows families, nature enthusiasts, hikers, walkers, writers and readers alike to learn about the six distinct biomes at the RTA and the history of our area.

Your contributions will also provide our organization with mailings, printing, web updating, prizes, advertising and participant and contributor honorariums.
