Eden Prairie Native Participates on Top Flying Team

Glenn Dodd was on the University of North Dakota team that finished 2nd at the National Intercollegiate Flying Association's Safety and Flight Evaluation Conference.

Eden Prairie native Glenn Dodd helped the University of North Dakota Flying Team to a second-place finish at the National Intercollegiate Flying Association's Safety and Flight Evaluation Conference (SAFECON) hosted by Ohio State University, UND announced last week. The team scored a total of 355 points, only four points behind the winner, during the competition, which ran from May 6 to May 11. Dodd, a senior studying airport management, finished:

  • 18th of 144 competitors in aircraft recognition
  • 113th overall in men’s competition
  • 122nd overall in the competition
The team as a whole finished first place in ground events, third place in the flight events and second place in the Judges Trophy. The UND Flying Team is made up of volunteer aviation students.
