UPDATE: Report Says Irrigation Crew Helped Contain House Fire

Twin Cities Fire Wire reports the deck and exterior of a home on Mount Curve Road were on fire when crews arrived.

An irrigation crew working at Olympic Hills Golf Course helped contain a fire in the 11000 block of Mount Curve Road in Eden Prairie on Friday, Oct. 5, according to Twin Cities Fire Wire.

“They brought their irrigation lines towards the fire to hold it in check,” Eden Prairie Fire Chief George Esbensen told TCFW. “They could not get all the way to the fire with their line, but it was enough to contain it until our crews arrived.”

Firefighters from Eden Prairie, Edina and Excelsior responded to the fire, which damaged the deck and part of the outside of the house.

“The exterior of the structure received significant damaged," Esbensen told TCFW. “But, it seems like the homeowners will be able to return tonight.”
