Matula, a 24-year-old Eden Prairie woman, was last seen alive May 1. Eden Prairie police announced Sunday night that Matula had died from a single bullet to her head, likely on the same night she disappeared, the Star Tribune reported.

Her ex-boyfriend David Roe fatally shot himself May 2 in the Eden Prairie City Center parking lot when he showed up to talk to an investigator about Matula. Police said Roe is the only suspect and that they think he killed Matula in Eden Prairie.
