Eden Prairie Man Chases Two People From His Property

Police believe the two people who ran away from the home took several items.

An Eden Prairie man tried to chase down two people who broke into his garage at 11:15 p.m. Dec. 4.

The man was on the phone inside his home in the 16000 block of Ashby Lane when he heard a crash in the garage. He went to check on it and saw that the lights were on, a door was open and two people were running away.

The man tried to chase them but was unable to catch them. He then returned to his garage and called 911 as he backed out of the driveway to search for them further. Neither he nor police officers were able to find them.

A flashlight was found at the scene that may have been used in the burglary. The man was also missing a $1,702 check, an $1,100 check and a $270 pair of sunglasses.
