9 Servers Caught in Underage Drinking Sting

The charges follow alcohol compliance checks on Eden Prairie establishments.

Eden Prairie on Monday released charging documents for nine servers accused of selling alcohol to minors during a November sweep.

The alcohol compliance checks took place Nov. 20 and 21 at establishments throughout Eden Prairie. In all cases, an officer walked in with an 18- or 19-year-old assistant and watched as the younger person was served a drink or sold alcohol.

All the people accused have been charged with selling alcohol to minors—a gross misdemeanor that carries a maximum penalty of a year in jail and a $3,000 fine.
