David Runck Elected Chair of Fafinski Mark & Johnson's Bankruptcy & Insolvency Group

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. — July 8, 2014 — Fafinski Mark & Johnson, P.A. announced today that shareholder David Runck has been named Chair of the firm’s Bankruptcy & Insolvency group. He has been with Fafinski Mark & Johnson since 2007.

Runck represents financial institutions in civil litigation matters involving distressed and defaulted commercial loan transactions. He also represents lenders as creditors in bankruptcy cases, foreclosures, receiverships, debt restructurings and loan workout negotiations. Runck has extensive experience assisting secured and unsecured lenders, creditors’ committees, indenture trustees, bondholders, investment companies, equipment finance and leasing companies, and real estate lessors to maximize their recovery in default situations.  Since 2008, he has been lead counsel to the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors for Petters Company, Inc. and Petters Group Worldwide, LLC, representing creditors who are collectively owed in excess of $3 billion.
