Use Our Twin Cities-Area Map to Find Fish Fries This Lent

Churches, businesses and groups are submitting dates, times, prices and other information about fish fries they are hosting.

Lent started Wednesday and will continue until March 30, which is the day before Easter.

Lent coincides with fish fry season. This year we are providing a one-spot resource for you to find fish fries in the Twin Cities area.

Click on each marker in the above map to view the location, cost, time, date and description of each fish fry.

If your fish fry is not listed, fill out the form in this story.

An Associated Press article published in USA Today called fish fries "a timeworn Catholic tradition that provides a safe haven from divides that have long roiled the U.S. church, a place where traditionalist Catholics, progressive Catholics and everyone in between can sit peacefully at the same plastic tablecloth."

Tried the "all you can eat" fish fry at Shanghai Bistro last evening. The worst I have ever had in my life. The fish was watery, the batter was overcooked and tasteless. The fries were the standard frozen crap. The Japanese style cole slaw was the best part of the dinner.
Summary: It sucked big time. Shanghai should stick to the excellent sushi that it prepares.

Love these regular FFs: Valley Bar and Grill on Highway 10 between Ellsworth and Prescott, Wis. and Laurel Supper Club outside of New Richmond, Wis. Heard that Kilkarney Hills Golf Course in River Falls, Wis. has a pretty good one.
