Eden Prairie Center Partners with DonorsChoose.org for 'Celebrate Schools!' Initiative

Eden Prairie Center announced its partnership with DonorsChoose.org for its Celebrate Schools! initiative Tuesday.

According to a press release, the initiative is designed to shine the spotlight on the importance of a quality of education and assist local area schools and teachers with supplies and funding.

Visit Eden Prairie Center between 9/3/2013 to 10/26/2013 to nominate your school for a chance to win the $25,000 award at the registration stand in Center Court. 

DonorsChoose.org is an online charity that is designed to connect individuals with classrooms in need. Projects range from pencils for poetry to books for biology; the possibilities are endless! "The best thing is, no matter what the dollar amount, you know you're helping a school in need. In 2012, Eden Prairie Center was able to fund 25 Donors Choose projects, raising $11,007 for local classrooms and reaching 2,444 students. This year we hope to reach even more classrooms and students," said Shannon McNamara, Marketing Coordinator for Eden Prairie Center.

On October 26 and 27, 2013 Eden Prairie Center and local-area schools will join forces to host a fun, in-mall event to Celebrate Schools! and the mall's charitable partnership with DonorsChoose.org. The event will be held in the Center Court from 1:00pm-5:00pm each day. All funds will go directly to the participating schools for funding/supplies.
