Eden Prairie Girls Shut Out Forest Lake in the State Quarterfinals

The Eagles are heading to the semifinals to play Hill-Murray at 6 p.m. Friday.

 

The Eden Prairie girls hockey team defeated Forest Lake in the state Class AA quarterfinals Thursday.

The Eagles shut out the Rangers 6-0. They scored two goals in each period, according to the Minnesota State High School League website.

According to the MSHSL recap

Angie Heppelmann and Josie Olson each tallied twice with Heppelmann adding two assists to lead the Eagles. Charly Dahlquist added three points on a goal and pair of assists. McKenzie Johnson gets the shutout while facing only eight shots from the Rangers. Eden Prairie fired 35 shots at Forest Lake goaltender Abi White. 

The MSHSL posted a video of Coach Jaime Grossman on Thursday afternoon.

Eden Prairie will play Hill-Murray in the semifinals at 6 p.m. Friday. You can listen to the game on the Minnesota Sports Broadcast Network.

The finals will be held Saturday.
